I’m delighted to be playing a new work by pianist Stewart Goodyear for violin and piano, called Limin’ . Following up on Solo, the solo suite for violin that he wrote for me a few years ago, he had the idea to compose and play Limin’, an exuberant and atmospheric 9-movement piece evoking scenes in the Caribbean. “Liming” means “to hang out in the community” in Trinidad, where Stewart’s mom was from.
After premiering parts of the piece at National Sawdust in 2024, we recorded the completed work last year and were delighted to perform it in full last month at the Lincoln Center’s Rubinstein Atrium, as part of AMOC’s Up Close series.

Limin’ will be released soon on Avie Records.
